| Mojito -2 parts rum -1 part simple syrup (half sugar and half water) -1 part lime juice -4 mint leaves -1 ounce club soda Using
a muddler, muddle mint leaves and add one part rum. Pour into cocktail
shaker with ice. Add simple syrup, lime juice and remaining rum. Shake
in cocktail shaker. Pour into on-the-rock glass with ice and top off with
club soda. Mint Julep -1
1/2 cups bourbon (12 oz) -1
cup fresh mint leaves Garnish: fresh mint sprigs Stir together bourbon and 4 teaspoons sugar until sugar is dissolved. Lightly crush mint leaves with remaining 4 teaspoons sugar in a metal bowl with back of a spoon until sugar is dissolved. Add 4 cups crushed ice, then add 3/4 cup bourbon mixture and stir well. Divide mixture among 8 (12-ounce) glasses. Add enough of remaining 8 cups of ice to almost fill glasses, then add remaining 3/4 cup bourbon and stir.
Citrus Martini -2 parts Vodka -1
part Triple Sec or Cointreau

part Triple Sec or Cointreau Rub lemon around the rim of a stemmed glass and dip in sugar, chill glass in freezer. Combine all ingredients in cockail shaker with ice, shake and strain into a stemmed glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.
Uncle Julie's Summer Punch -1 10 ounce can of frozen pink lemonade -10 ounces of whiskey -20 ounces of water Combine all ingredients into a large pitcher and stir. Serve in tall glass filled with ice. |
